Job Requirements

  • Candidates should have previous fraud experience with Commercial Claims and Policies . Consideration will also be given based on department needs including underwriting and or claims experience
  • Practiced active listening and summarizing evidence to draw supportable conclusions.
  • You have the ability to learn, internalize and apply results from data analytics and processes.
  • You possess excellent verbal/written communication skill along with attention to details
  • You adhere to an appropriate and effective set of core values and beliefs during both good and bad times.
  • Your working knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and applicable insurance legislation is an asset.
  • Your knowledge of the O.A.P. and/or S.P.F.1. (Owner\'s policy) is an asset.
  • Your enrolment in the CIP program and completion of the Principles & Practices course is an asset.

Investigative Advisors are accountable for:
  • Conducting thorough investigations of suspicious claims and polices assigned to them on Commercial Auto and Property
  • Reviewing new claims\\\\policies to determine if an investigation is required.
  • Gathering evidence and are responsible for the claims handling of matters accepted for investigation.
  • Investigating claims for fraud or policy violations, denying or resolving claims as appropriate, and working with Underwriting to determine the appropriate action (e.g., re-underwriting and/or cancellation of policy or reporting of activity to appropriate authorities).
  • Handling all aspects of claims adjusting including: initial claim handling, customer contact, making payments when appropriate, dealing with customer complaints, and claim disposition and resolution where appropriate.
  • Participate in the development of departmental procedures and directives.
  • Provide fraud awareness training in respective offices while taking into consideration the Company\'s strategic objectives
  • Participate in team success, gathering all the necessary resources; paying attention to interdependency of common objectives and to the need of combining necessary competencies.
