Overview

We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various framing techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential buildings, where you will be responsible for constructing frameworks that provide structural support. The Framer will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Construct and install frameworks for buildings using wood and other materials. Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks. Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor as needed on the job site. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Skills

Proficiency in frame carpentry. Experience with wood framing an asset (but willing to train the right person) Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. A commitment to safety practices within the construction environment. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
