Overview

We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working with various materials and tools to construct frameworks for buildings and other structures. The Framer will be responsible for ensuring that all framing work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project specifications. Construct wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs. Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required. Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for site preparation and material handling. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Conduct restoration work on existing structures as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Lift heavy materials and equipment as required throughout the duration of projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in carpentry or a related field is preferred. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics. Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration techniques is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday. Knowledge of woodworking techniques and practices. Welding skills are considered an asset but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
