Job Description


We are seeking a talented and experienced FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team working on an exciting cinema camera project. As an FPGA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of a high-performance camera capable of capturing stunning 4K footage at an astonishing 1000 frames per second (FPS). This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the advancement of the film and entertainment industry. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement FPGA solutions for the cinema camera project.
  • Develop and optimize FPGA-based image processing pipelines, specifically focused on encoding and decoding algorithms.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate FPGA designs with the camera system.
  • Conduct performance analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting of FPGA designs to ensure high-quality and efficient operation.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables, while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
  • Research and evaluate new FPGA technologies and techniques to enhance camera performance and functionality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in FPGA development, particularly with Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed design principles, signal integrity, and timing closure.
  • Familiarity with PCIE and NVMe interfaces and their integration with FPGA designs.
  • Experience in image encoding/decoding algorithms and video processing pipelines.
  • Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA design and simulation.
  • Knowledge of FPGA synthesis, place and route, and debugging tools (Vivado preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working on camera systems or imaging devices.
  • Familiarity with high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., MIPI, Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of image sensor technology and imaging pipelines.
  • Experience with image and video compression standards (e.g., H.264, HEVC).
  • Understanding of embedded systems design and programming.
