We are currently seeking a highly talented and motivated FPGA Developer Engineer as part of our advanced R&D team.

Position Summary and Responsibilities





As a successful candidate for this role, you have advanced FPGA development knowledge, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, solid communication skills and a desire to tackle challenges. You will use your skills and initiative within a team environment to develop novel camera system designs for world-class imaging products.


As a member of the FPGA development team, you will be responsible for evaluating requirements, architecture development, and detailed FPGA design, implementing complex, high-performance video processing circuits in the latest FPGA technologies. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of embedded software and hardware developers, participating in design reviews and ensuring robust operation between camera Firmware and Hardware.

Qualifications





The ideal candidate is versatile thinker and quickly assimilates and integrates new knowledge, builds working relationships easily and demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent with a focus on Digital Design.
  • Minimum five years demonstrated ability to develop detailed FPGA architecture and experience with writing synthesizable VHDL code.
  • RTL design and top-level system verification including test benches and functional simulation.
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus design tools and simulation with ModelSim or equivalent.
  • Familiar with timing closure for high-speed systems and designs
  • Knowledge of the most common interfaces such as AXI, I2C, SPI, UART, DDR4, Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with FPGA blocks including high-speed serializers, Gbit Transceivers, memory interfaces.



Asset qualifications:
  • Experience with PolarFire FPGA development.
  • Experience implementing a soft processor core within a FPGA.
  • System Verilog for testing.
  • Coding experience with C++ and other scripting languages such Python, familiarity with scripts and automation.
