Job Description

We\'re looking for an exceptional FP&A Manager to lead and manage financial planning and analysis activities for our Product and Software Development departments. In this role, you will own, develop and evolve our product forecasting, understand and make recommendations to our product strategy and roadmap, and drive timely reporting of results to senior leadership by monitoring performance against departmental KPIs. You\'ll be working cross-functionally with FP&A, Data Intelligence, the CPO, the CTO, and senior finance and product leadership. While working remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite\'s distributed workforce strategy), and/or in one of Hootsuite\'s offices in Canada or the US, you will report to our Senior Director, Finance, Products.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO:

• Own and manage all aspects of financial modeling for the departments, including scenario building, risk/opportunity assessment of key product decisions, and optimizing resource allocation
• Develop, own, and manage product forecasts
• Define and implement KPI\'s and related monitoring processes, including driving the development of data and reporting infrastructure to effectively analyze, monitor and report on key business drivers.
• Develop and perform scenario modeling and analysis to help drive product strategy and roadmap decisions
• Drive monthly in-depth analysis providing visibility to management of variances from expectations with a focus on improving accuracy. Author clear narratives that describe business strategy and performance
• Build trusted relationships with key business partners in Product, Software Development, Data Intelligence, and IT
• Assist with implementation, design, and process improvements of ERP/Planning/BI tools as it relates to product performance management and forecasting
• Develop and implement related work processes. Improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support the next wave of Hootsuite\'s growth
• Develop and implement complex financial models to provide analysis and recommendations business scenarios to senior leadership
• Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED:

• Extensive relevant software or SaaS experience in growth environments or equivalent combination of education and experience within FP&A, investment banking, private equity or consulting
• MBA is preferred
• Experience in Product-focused FP&A roles is preferred
• Excellent understanding of product development cycles with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Product, Design and Software Development teams
• Strong record of accomplishment in decision support roles
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications
• Advanced modeling skills with the ability to swiftly and effectively translate ambiguity into succinct outputs
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
• Strong presentation skills and ability to guide and influence senior leadership
• Consistent track record of building processes and procedures that can scale during high-growth periods
• Identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision; Builds an integrated plan for course of action to accomplish this vision
• Bias towards solving problems, taking action and pursuing continuous improvement
• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinates, and executive management
