THE OPPORTUNITY
The FP&A Analyst is a trusted partner to leadership responsible for preparing and presenting management reporting and analyses that drive key insights, recommendations, and action plans. The role you will manage regular and ad-hoc business forecasting, budgeting, benchmarking and analysis to support the major operational, financial and strategic decisions of senior executive management.
This position is located at our head office in Burnaby, BC.

UR RESPONSIBILITIES
Budgeting and Forecasting
Collaborate with P&L owners in operations to develop and maintain budgets and forecasts based on key business drivers.
Support the implementation of a new budgeting & planning software program.
Support teams by reconciling actual results to expectations and conducting routine analysis to determine if there are errors in reporting.
Analytics & Reporting
Prepare regular, monthly combined income statements for the executive team.
Complete analytical requests from business units including regular recurring reports, ad-hoc inquiries, and executive reports.
Analyze departmental results including trends and costs to provide ongoing recommendations.
Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data.
Prepare business cases and presentations to summarize and share data.
Proactively seek out and put forward recommendations for new tools and/or procedures to enhance reporting.
Review and manage business intelligence across the company in PowerBI and Excel.
Become familiar with and comply with the company's Health & Safety Manual.
Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Math-related subjects, or equivalent with emphasis on quantitative analysis and methods
1-4 years of work experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field
Strong technical skills in Excel and business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau,etc)
Excellent analytical and critical thinking problem-solving skills
Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
Valid driver's license is required
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive approach to teamwork
Must have a high level of accuracy
Ability to self-manage and work with minimal supervision
Ability and aptitude to quickly learn new products, processes, and systems
Ability to recommend and drive processes improvements
Ability to read/write simple SQL queries to retrieve data
Familiarity with data analyses tools like Python and R is preferred, but not required
Ability to think strategically
Ability to conduct a presentation to senior management and/or customers
Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
SALARY
The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $80,000
