Foundry Worker

Job Description
The Foundry Worker will be responsible for conducting all operations within the Foundry to ensure that quality standards and productivity requirements are met. Responsibilities and Duties: Reporting to the Foundry Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with design team, production team, supply chain team, and quality team to produce high quality low volume castings in an efficient manner.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide and department objectives.
- Engage in all company-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparation of molds.
- Melting and pouring aluminum.
- Breakdown of molds.
- Heat treating of castings.
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Journeyman Molder certificate considered an asset.
- Forklift ticket considered an asset.
- Team Player.
- Precise and detail oriented.
- Capable of heavy workload and multitasking.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing considered an asset.
