You'll join right before international expansion and on our small, high-energy team, building a platform for digital exploration and tasting routes to connect people to food, cities, and culture.

What you'll be doing:

Working directly with the Founders to understand and execute on the short term roadmap to build v2 of the product and beyond. Working closely with the fractional CTO to modernize the stack, refine the UX, and architect a scalable, robust, and secure solution. Own and deliver the technical solutions to achieve roadmap goals across platforms (mobile, web, and backend) Write and ship impactful code across the entire stack Perform rigorous testing and setup automated testing to ensure the system is never down Explore and implement payment integrations with fractional CTO to improve the user experience for customers (e.g. Stripe, etc.) Resolve bugs and/or outages in lightning speed to ensure the system is able to serve users at all times. Be in the room early and help us define our product and company. We are collaborative, mission focused and are creating something unique.
What we are looking for:

A proven & hands-on Fullstack Developer with experience building multiple 0 to 1 products with thousands of users. A proactive, pragmatic hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and drives projects to completion. A great communicator who can translate user interviews, feedback from Founding team, direction from fractional CTO into clear direction for themselves. Demonstrated experience in rapid prototyping and iterative development. Demonstrated ability to build Fullstack web projects that include both cutting edge technology and complex business logic. A deeply customer obsessed Engineer that always wants to do what's best for the user with a deep love for high quality UI/UX and experimentation. Deep expertise in solution design, algorithmic design, and data structures (OOP). Experience with modern stacks (React, Next, Typescript, Node, Postgres) or similar. Experience with using AI to supercharge development but not a "vibe coder". Experienced working with ambiguity and in a fast-paced & changing environment. A seasoned Fullstack Developer with at least 8 years of experience. Experienced with data mapping and geospatial integrations. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
