At Decoda Health, we're building the operating system for medical practices. Our platform automates the high-friction work - scheduling, payments, communications, and charting - so providers can focus on patients.


We are looking for a

Forward-Deployed Engineer

who is equal parts technical expert and customer advocate. You will be the bridge between our platform and the clinics we serve. If you are a personable engineer who loves solving complex problems and making customers happy, we want to meet you.

In this role, you will:

Own technical delivery

across multiple deployments, from first prototype to stable production.

Drive Data Migrations:

Build and maintain high-performance Python-based pipelines and scrapers to extract information from legacy systems.

Embed with Customer Teams:

Understand their needs, remove blockers early, and guide the adoption of what you build.

Make Trade-offs:

Balance scope, speed, and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery.

Refine the UX:

Work within our React/Next.js stack to polish interfaces, ensuring onboarding flows are intuitive and high-value for clinic staff.

Codify Patterns:

Turn field feedback into tools, playbooks, and building blocks that help the rest of the team move faster.

High-Touch Deployments:

Occasionally head on-site for our largest customers to oversee complex transitions and ensure success from day one.

What we're looking for:

Technical Foundations

Data & Backend:

Strong experience in Python with a focus on web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Playwright).

Data Systems:

Proficiency in data manipulation (Pandas, SQL) and working with PostgreSQL.

Mindset & Interpersonal

AI-First Mindset:

You naturally look for ways to leverage LLMs and automation to solve messy data challenges or streamline manual workflows.

Bias for Action:

You see a friction point and want to fix it immediately. You keep teams and clients moving with clarity and follow-through.

Exceptional Communication:

You leave customers feeling energized and heard. You can translate technical hurdles into clear updates.

Bonus:

Experience in health tech or working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
