Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Formulation Chemist to join our team. The fprmulator will be responsible for a role focused on developing and optimizing formulas for products, typically in industries like pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics.

Responsibilities



Formulate new products and improve existing formulations by evaluating raw materials, conducting stability studies, and performing compatibility testing Develop and maintain detailed documentation of formulation procedures, including batch records, standard operating procedures, and quality control records Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and successful commercialization of new products Conduct thorough analysis of data and provide recommendations to management regarding optimization of formulations, processes, and equipment Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to formulation development, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and troubleshoot any issues that arise Train and mentor junior formulators and laboratory technicians, providing guidance and support as needed Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field At least 3 years of experience in formulating products, preferably in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry Strong knowledge of raw materials, their properties and interactions Ability to develop and optimize formulations for various product types, including creams, lotions, serums, etc. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines for product formulation and labeling Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

Bonus pay Overtime pay

8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday
