About the Opportunity:

Homestar Building Supplies is looking for a reliable and hard-working

Forklift Operator / Yard Support

to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves operating a forklift, assisting with loading and unloading materials, and maintaining tools and equipment used on site. You will play a key part in helping our yard and warehouse operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a

forklift

to load, unload, and move materials Assist in the yard with handling and organizing skids and inventory Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Issue and receive tools and supplies as needed Keep accurate records of tool usage and report any issues Support yard cleanliness and organization Follow all safety guidelines and procedures Perform general physical tasks, including

lifting heavy items

Participate in closing duties on a rotating schedule

Requirements:

Valid

Class 5 Driver's License

Experience operating a

forklift

(forklift license is an asset) Ability to

lift and carry heavy materials

Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments Good organizational and communication skills Basic understanding of safety procedures and tool usage Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or building supply setting is an asset Team player with a strong work ethic

Work Environment:

Work takes place in a warehouse, lumber yard, and outdoor settings Physical work including lifting and standing for extended periods Fast-paced and team-oriented environmen
