THE OPPORTUNITY:

Arne's Welding is currently seeking an energetic individual for the position of

Forklift Operator

on a 6 month contract.

In this role, you must be able to operate a forklift in a safe, efficient manner to transport product in and out of work areas. You will also be responsible for keeping work areas stocked with necessary equipment such as bins or cages and assist with set ups that require forklift.

Job Duties:

Operating a forklift in a safe, efficient manner to transport product, assist with set ups and stock necessary equipment Work closely with all shop personnel in a professional and courteous manner Help with removal full and empty bins, cages, and skids Fill out daily forklift maintenance checklists Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow all safety rules and procedures Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years experience operating a forklift, preferably in the steel industry Experience working in a manufacturing setting an asset Experience in operating a loader and shunt truck would be an asset Proven organizational, time management and record keeping skills Excellent communication skills Valid Class 5 driver's license
