We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Shipping team in Langley, BC.

Apex Aluminum Extrusions Ltd. is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory with a 170,000 square foot facility and some of the most modern extrusion equipment in its industry. We believe in the ongoing investment and development of our processes and people.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.
Shift Details: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use a forklift and/or pallet jack to safely and efficiently move and lift aluminum logs that are 20-25 feet long and around 1000 lbs. in weight, as well as other heavy material loads.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment (i.e., adding hydraulic fluid if necessary)
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience and Skills:

• Forklift experience (minimum 1 year production floor experience required).
• Previous experience in driving Hyster and other similar equipment (preferred).
• Warehouse distribution experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
