Position Summary

As a Forklift Operator with Seven Horses Transport, you'll play a key role in safely handling, moving, and staging freight in our yard and warehouse. The role involves working with heavy and oversized materials such as pipe, steel beams, plates, and lumber. We're looking for someone safety-minded, reliable, and experienced in operating equipment around high-value freight.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Load and unload flat deck trailers with a variety of freight. Handle oversized and heavy cargo including pipe, steel, plates, and lumber. Perform heavy lifting and assist with manual handling when required. Carry out daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks. Work with dispatch, warehouse, and yard teams to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following company safety procedures.

Qualifications

Valid forklift operator certification/license. Proven experience handling pipe, steel, lumber, or other heavy freight. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting. Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Experience in a port or terminal environment (asset/nice-to-have). Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
