Job Posting - Forklift Operator (Evening Shift)

Location:

Zoom Books Warehouse - 101 Mack Ave, Scarborough, ON

Hours:

4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (Monday - Friday)

Pay Range:

$17.60 - $18.50 per hour + 4 % vacation pay

What you'll do

Operate a sit-down electric forklift

to move, double-stack, and triple-stack gaylords (? 900 lb each). Loads are sometimes uneven, so advanced handling skills are essential.

Label, stage, and relocate gaylords

as directed by the inventory system.

Monitor a conveyor line

to keep product flowing; clear jams and report issues. Perform daily equipment checks, swap/charge forklift batteries, keep aisles clear, and follow all safety policies.
What we're looking for

Valid forklift licence/certification

and

minimum one year

of high-skill driving (double/triple stacking or comparable heavy, unbalanced loads). Proven ability to work quickly and accurately without constant supervision. Comfortable using a scanner, basic laptop functions, and reading simple labels. Steel-toed footwear and reliable attendance.
Nice to have

Experience in book, e-commerce, or 3PL warehousing. Basic knowledge of book categories (hardcover, textbook, etc.).
