Summary

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Forklift Operator - Order Builder to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday. The wage range is $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience. Our extended Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
• Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
• Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms
• Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
• Build orders to required specifications for delivery
• Maintain a clean yard
• Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner
• Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials
• Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
• Maintain contact with supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• A broad knowledge of building supplies
• Forklift experience is essential
• Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Basic hand tool skills
• Physical requirements include:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Sitting and driving for longs periods of time
• Frequently climbing in and out forklift
• Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
