Forklift Operator Position

Our Elmsdale treating facility plays a vital role in Goodfellow's success in Atlantic Canada. As a Forklift Operator, you'll work alongside treatment plant operators to load and unload cylinders and transports while keeping our lumber yard organized.

Previous forklift experience (an asset) Experience in a lumber yard or building materials environment (preferred) Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced team setting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Safety-conscious mindset Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions Physical capability to perform the job duties Availability for overtime

Your Role:

Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently within our warehouse facility Complete regular safety checklists and duty reports for forklift operations Report mechanical issues or other concerns promptly through inspection reports Follow proper procedures for order picking using an electronic scanner, managing returns, and identifying damaged goods Collaborate with logistics, treatment operators, and sales teams Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the warehouse and production areas
