About the Role:
Please note that we are a Peanut and Tree Nut Free Facility
Operating a Counterbalance electric forklift
Operating a pallet jack (as required)
Physically sorting/handling and building palletized products
Assist in picking and packing orders, including shrink wrapping and labeling products as needed
Loading and Unloading Commercial Trailers (palletized and oversized items)
Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device
Ensure proper stacking and secure products for transport
Regularly using various hand tools to load & offload oversized product
Organizing/Sorting and inventory of items in Warehouse
Stacking palletized product up to 30ft high
Conduct routine pre and post inspections of equipment
Maintain safe and hazard free work area
Verify and complete documentation as required
Report directly to Warehouse Manager daily
Assist with counting/maintaining inventory
Keep track of inventory and ensure inventory accuracy by documenting quantity and condition of materials
Communicate with supervisors, warehouse staff, and other team members regarding issues or concerns related to operations
Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
Valid Ontario-wide forklift license (required)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse or dock environment
Reliable, Dependable and Professional attitude
Prior experience loading/unloading commercial trailers
Ability to work with tools - Loading and Unloading Oversized equipment
Prior experience with WMS Systems preferred (not required)
Prior experience with RF Scanner (an asset but not required)
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little to no supervision
Ability to count and perform basic math without use of calculator (inventory counts)
Must be physically able to sort product (palletized and non palletized)
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Strong accuracy and organizational skills (when completing documentation/paperwork)
Strong communication of English Language (read/write/verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Strong focus on safety in a fast-paced environment
Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards
Follow the principles of GMP relevant to your job responsibilities
Follow the applicable Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures relevant to your job responsibilities
Follow the applicable BRCG rules and requirements that relate to food grade and HACCP protocol
Must have reliable transportation to work
What we provide:
Monday to Friday - Full time positions available
o Day Shift = 0630-1500hrs (2 vacancies)
o Afternoon Shift= 1530-2359hrs (4 vacancies)
Wage $24.00/hr (increases to $25.00/hr after 1 year of employment)
Opportunity for overtime after 44hr - Paid at $36/hr
Bi-weekly pay/Direct Deposit
Bi-annual Performance Reviews
Benefits (after 90 days of employment/Company pays 50% of monthly premium)
