General Description

Forklift operators operate gas and electric forklifts in order to keep production busy with materials. Forklift operators move empty and full buckets, pallets and other product for dispersal to shipping. Operators must be alert and aware of their surroundings, able to effectively communicate with other employees, and be able to respond quickly to multiple requests in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Skill/Effort Requirements

Attention to detail Ability to work in an industrial environment Able to effectively communicate Able to be licensed and to competently operate mobile equipment Able to get and out of a forklift at height multiple times a day Able to work in various temperatures (some materials are outside)

Responsibilities

Complete all required pre-use inspections React quickly and safely to material movement requests Operate gas or electric forklifts Identify product for proper dispersal requirements Follow all company policies Follow all safe work procedures, hazard assessments and work instructions as assigned

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment, hot, loud Extreme weather conditions - heat, cold, wind, rain, snow PPE required in specified areas
