Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting a number of operational requirements for material handling within the facility. The Warehouse Coordinator works with the Supply Chain Manager and Production Supervisor to unload and load transport trailers with mobile equipment, wrap pallets, stage pallets, and order pick items from the pallet racking for production needs.

Reporting Relationships

The Warehouse Associate reports to the Supply Chain Manager and Production Supervisor of Food4Change and interacts with other members of the leadership team and staff as required to carry out duties.

Key Responsibilities

Duties as described, included to but not limited to the following:

Receive, store, move and pack materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse. Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, trailers or other transport vehicles. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Follows and complies with all company health and safety rules & Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Follows and complies with all SQF/HACCP/GMP (Food Safety) protocols, policies and procedures. Carrying out additional work-related duties assigned by the employer .

Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 High School Diploma or Equivalent; Experience in warehouse environment; Must have a valid forklift certification in both reach truck and counterbalance.

Safety conscious and other safety training an asset; Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in teams and work with one another; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Demonstrates excellent judgment within the scope of duties Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills Excellent organization, planning and time management skills A person who enjoys and excels in an environment of growth and change Demonstrates the ability to pay attention to details and produce timely results Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multitasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

Requires high level of concentration, mental focus and attention to details This position requires to be physically mobile in a plant environment; May require overtime on occasion; Lifting up to 50lbs may be required, safely.

Shift Time:

3:30PM - 12:00AM (Mon-Fri)
