Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, and electric pallet jacks, to move materials and products within the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that items are selected according to customer specifications. Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. Assist with heavy lifting and the movement of large items as needed. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with company policies.

Experience

Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse distribution environment is preferred. Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory management and order accuracy. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, with an understanding of proper lifting techniques. Experience using warehouse management systems is an advantage but not required.
