Position Summary

The Forge Cleaner is responsible for degreasing and cleaning all areas within the forge department. This role plays a vital part in supporting equipment uptime, workplace safety, and environmental compliance. The Forge Cleaner supports general maintenance efforts and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dirty, heavy industrial environment.

Ability to work in a dirty, hot, noisy industrial environment Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery ability to follow safety rules and work independently or as part of a team ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards

Education & Experience

Education - Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) Experience - None required - full training will be provided

Knowledge

Basic industrial cleaning and housekeeping practices Workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements Basic understanding of manufacturing or forge environments Spill containment and environmental compliance principles 5S and workplace organization concepts

Skills

Ability to use pressure washers, scrapers, and basic cleaning tools Good attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to follow instructions and procedures Good communications and teamwork skills Ability to recognize and report hazards or abnormal conditions

Working Conditions

Exposure to dirt, oil, scale, heat, and elevated noise levels in a forge manufacturing environment Requires use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, hearing protections, etc.) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
