Foreperson

to join our team in

Squamish, BC

for upcoming Operational Renovations.




As a Foreperson, you'll take the lead on the ground, coordinating day-to-day site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Site Superintendent, you'll guide crews and subcontractors through the fast-paced, detailed work of interior renovations; often in occupied retail and commercial spaces where professionalism and communication are key.


Your experience in operational renovations will help you navigate the unique challenges of working in live environments--minimizing disruption to client operations, maintaining clean and organized worksites, and adapting to changing schedules and priorities. Projects typically range from $25K to $5M, providing opportunities to work on diverse scopes and finishing details.


This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in their workmanship, leads by example, and thrives in environments where planning, problem-solving, and teamwork make all the difference.

Day and night shifts are available, with night shift premiums included.



Your Key Responsibilities



Support the Site Superintendent with the planning, implementation, and management of project priorities according to the schedule Complete a site walk around at the beginning and end of each shift Supervise tasks being completed by site crews and subcontractors Delegate responsibilities and tasks to site crews, subcontractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans Assist with conducting weekly Toolbox Talks, weekly Worksite Inspections, Site Specific Safety Orientations and Safety Reporting Complete daily logs, as required Working with or making things with wood in the construction, installation or repair of structures or components of structures Preparing site and building layouts Constructing foundations and concrete structures Framing structures Applying interior and exterior finishes. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas Assembling, erecting, installing and dismantling structures Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades required at construction sites Assist tradespersons such as Forepersons and trade partners in construction activities Dig trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications, using appropriate tool Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment Perform other activities at construction sites as directed

Your Qualifications and Experience



Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Construction, experience in Tenant Improvements and Operational Renovations, Journeyperson Certificate is considered an asset Experience as a Foreperson with a General Contractor, working on projects between $25K-$5 million Own transportation, able to get to and from site Ability to multi task with strong attention to detail Productive in a team environment Understands and adheres to all safety policies and procedures Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, push/pull, bend and crouch frequently and work in adverse weather conditions
