Foreperson

Reporting to the Construction Manager and Site Superintendent, the Foreperson provides support in the coordination of project equipment, materials and labor. The Foreperson assists in the construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintains ongoing communication with Superintendent, subcontractors and other employees;

2. Assists in making recommendations to Construction Manager and Superintendent then implements operations management decisions on construction methods, schedule, quality, and safety;

4. In conjunction with the General Foreperson and Superintendent, assists in the planning for sub-trade coordination, site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, safety administration and reporting.

5. Assists in assigned work with work of different tradespeople, company departments or other contractors.

6. Assists with preparation for project mark-up meetings, project specific labor negotiations, training and education coordination of field staff, and general site labor issues.

Qualifications:

1. Journeyman Ticket Inter-Provincial Trade Certification or alternatively, a technical diploma and extensive field supervision experience.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in an industrial construction supervisory role
