Responsible for managing projects and monitoring the quality of work performed arising from insurance claims and litigation with a primary focus on accident benefits and personal injury claims.
Effectively lead the planning and execution of projects, including compiling financial data, performing analysis and preparing recommendations.
Preparation of schedules and reports relating to income loss and general financial accounting and analysis.
Responsible for the review of income loss reports prepared by staff.
Correspondence with clients, lawyers, insurance adjusters and internal contacts to discuss file issues and present our findings.
Develop and maintain client relationships at the highest level, including accountability for most operational aspects of client engagement.
Apply technical expertise and interprets laws, regulations and standards to formulate client related recommendations.
Participate in all technical tasks and business development of the firm at the discretion of the Partner.
Mentor and facilitate on-the-job training for Associates and other new staff where applicable.
Use sound judgement and reasoning to make both common and complex decisions.
Other duties as required by staff or the Partner.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
Experience in forensic accounting, in particular demonstrated expertise in completing, leading and/or managing insurance loss quantification assignments.
CPA designation preferred. Specialty designation (i.e. CIP, CBV, CFF) would be an asset.
Strong analytical, accounting and auditing skills.
Strong knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting process.
Expert/advanced knowledge and application of the relevant professional standards, emerging laws and regulations and practice standards.
Detail oriented, organized, personable, self-driven and highly motivated to be a leader.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
