Due to our continued success and growth Yellowridge has an opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and talented Foreman for a housing project in Langley, BC. YOUR QUALITIES INCLUDE:



Minimum 4 years' experience as a carpenter on a construction site. Proficient with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Steel stud framing experience an asset. Trade Qualification as asset but not required. Level 2 First Aid ticket. Strong leadership skills

ABOUT THE ROLE:



Reports to Site Superintendent. Enforce site cleanup daily and ensure the waste management plan is always followed. Site safety inspection reports are to be completed weekly and emailed or faxed to head office each week. Send weekly photos approximately 6 to 10 to the head office every Friday by 5pm Coordinate all site inspections and testing, including but not limited to architectural, structural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, landscape, soils, concrete and asphalt. Ensure required trades have copies of inspection and test reports and that any deficiencies are corrected immediately if possible or before the next inspection. Receive, verify quantities and document any damage for all Yellowridge deliveries to the jobsite. Follow up and ensure all deficiencies( including trades) are completed. Have basic hand tools such as tool pouch, hammer, tape, pencil, notepad and pen. Provide direction & leadership to trades as per Site Superintendent. Supervise and ensure safety and productivity of crew members. Follow Occupational Health and Safety guidelines. Facilitate mandatory safety toolbox meetings to own crew members. Ensure completion of initial safety and hazard assessments. Participate in safety/incident investigations. Ensure that vehicle and equipment checks are carried out. Communicate job to and with the crew. Assign crew tasks in consultation with the Site Superintendent. Recognize, address and resolve issues/problems among/between crew members. Ensure crew compliance with project policies and procedures. Translate general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew. Work with the crew to overcome work challenges. Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production. Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans. Inspect and measure completed work. Assist with the daily site reporting (i.e., daily diaries, timesheets, safety reports, etc.) as assigned by the Site Superintendent. Other duties as requested.

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
