Job Summary
As Foreman you will be responsible for leading daily on-site operations, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This hands-on leadership role directs crew members, maintains quality and productivity, and serves as the primary on-site contact for clients and contractors. You will also manage equipment and materials, ensuring all tools are properly checked in and out, maintained, and reported on daily. Success in this role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and direct crew activities to maintain productivity and quality.
Enforce and promote safety standards on-site at all times.
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to crew members.
Coordinate daily equipment check-in and check-out, ensuring proper care and maintenance.
Track and report materials used, noting any discrepancies or shortages.
Actively maintain and monitor the condition of equipment; report maintenance needs promptly.
Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers, contractors, and management.
Communicate effectively with the Operations Coordinator and Project Manager regarding progress and issues.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and accuracy throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
Proven experience in landscaping, construction, or related field work.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety practices.
Ability to read plans and execute work to specification.
Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both crew and clients.
Valid driver's license required; equipment operation certifications are an asset.
