Overview of Position:




Cobra Mechanical Ltd. a division of Cobra Enterprises, requires a Journeyman Construction Electrician Foreman willing to work out of town. The successful candidate will have 5 years Foreman experience, be willing to work with their team, and someone who can jump into ongoing projects and assess what needs to be done. This position requires regular travel as necessary. We require a variety of experience for this position in the fields of residential, commercial, and industrial and be willing to work in all areas.


The Journeyman Electrician must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with Cobra Enterprises Ltd.'s and Cobra Mechanicals policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:



Travel to the worksites and oversee electrical projects. Ensure all workers receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring. Manage the Electrical projects, assessing the project requirements, timelines, and goals Work with the electrical team to meet deadlines, assign workload based on level of experience Organize and prioritize tasks and to ensure required resources are available. Communicate progress of projects with the team and management. Know, understand, and participate in safety/incident investigations and reviews in safety/incident investigations and review and provide crews with adequate supervision to accomplish tasks in a safe effective manner. Plan, assemble, install, repair, test and maintain electrical fixtures and systems that provide heat, light, power or control at residential or commercial sites. Read blueprints or technical diagrams Installation and maintenance of wiring systems Bending and installing conduit Install, maintain, and/or repair electrical wiring equipment Installing electrical apparatus, equipment, and fixtures Complying strictly with Electrical Code and local building regulations Carrying out plans for electrical wiring for well-functioning electrical systems. Clean and maintain site facilities and equipment and comply with all safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:



Appropriate credentials and certifications Construction Journeyperson Electrician. 5 years of Foreman experience managing a crew of employees and multiple projects. 5 years experience in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial fields Project management will be considered an asset. Possess a valid driver's license. Willing to travel to Norway House for up to 3 weeks at a time.

Other Qualifications:



Proven abilities, and strong organization skills in completing the task assigned. Go getter, willing to work on the tools and provide direction to apprentice's Ability to work independently in a busy environment. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools. Ability to work in a team environment and independently.

Work conditions:




Travel to off-site locations as necessary on a rotation of 21 days on / 7 days off, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours, overtime as required.
