JOB DESCRIPTION



Bhandal Contractors is seeking a

Steel Stud, Drywall & Finishing Foreman

and

Assistant Foreman

to join our growing team.

The Foreman will oversee and manage the installation of steel framing, drywall, and insulation on construction projects. Key responsibilities include supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining quality and efficiency on site.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction codes and safety practices, and proven experience in steel stud framing, drywall, and insulation installation. Competency in reading and understanding architectural drawings, Site Instructions, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervise and coordinate daily site activities.

Plan work schedules 2-3 weeks in advance, assign tasks to crews, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.

Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate activities with subcontractors.

Train workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Take immediate action to correct and prevent hazards.

Resolve issues and recommend improvements to productivity, quality, and site practices.

Prepare work progress and quality control reports.

Complete timesheets and document work completed for invoicing, extras, and related reporting.

Generate biweekly subtrade invoices using company templates.

Coordinate with the Project Manager to order materials, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following company procedures.

Effectively manage multiple crews on site.

Conduct weekly toolbox and safety meetings.

Attend on-site meetings, including trade and safety meetings.

Assist the company in sourcing new workers and subcontractors, and provide performance feedback to improve site operations.

REQUIREMENT



Minimum

2.5 years of construction experience

.

Knowledge of site documentation and management practices.

Ability (or willingness to learn) to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills for reporting project progress.

Proven ability to manage on-site execution and material control.

Commitment to occupational health and safety standards.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability.

Excellent task sequencing, scheduling, and prioritization abilities.

Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.

Full-time work permit (if applicable).

Willingness to perform additional duties related to the role as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.85-$35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
