Summary

We are seeking a dedicated RPN to work as a Foot Care Nurse to join our team at Hughes Healthcare Group in Sarnia. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our mission of providing top-notch healthcare services. The Foot Care Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities

Provide foot care assessments and treatments, including trimming, filing, callus and corn care, and basic wound care as appropriate. Identify and manage common foot conditions, referring to physicians or specialists when necessary. Educate clients and families on foot health, infection prevention, and ongoing care practices. Maintain accurate documentation of client care in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Comply with infection prevention and control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments. Work within the legislation, regulations and policy of the setting and organization.

Qualifications

Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing. Completion of an advanced foot care nursing course from a recognized institution. Experience providing foot care in community, clinic, or long-term care settings is an asset. Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills. Excellent communication, compassion, and client service skills. Access to reliable transportation for client visits.
