We are looking to welcome a storeman to our IKEA food team in Lakeside.

Expected Starting Date: September/ October 2022

WHAT WE OFFER

• the current hourly rate is 10.10, and this will increase to 10.90 on 1st Jan 2023
• Living Wage Foundation Employer

30 hours over 5 days including weekends. Shift times will begin at 6am

• Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews
• We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling & regular weekend off

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

Experience in a high volume customer facing environment preferred

• Experience in a high-volume business preferred
• Desire to provide an excellent customer experience
• Self-reliant and self-motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Proven ability to maintain effective work behavior in the face of setbacks or pressure

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

You will be receiving deliveries from external contractors and have the ability to deal with stock control whilst complying with food safety standards. You will also be working in freezers and fridges, storing deliveries quickly efficiently and in compliance with our food safety management system. The ability to deal with missing items and building a good rapport with delivery drivers. There is a lot of manual handing and heavy lifting for this role.
