Homestead Co-op is hiring a Food Store Manager on a permanent basis, onsite out of the Food Store in Portage la Prairie, MB.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Provide strategic direction to Food Store Team Leaders and Members to ensure safe, effective operations and processes which align with the strategy, objectives, and vision of the respective departments.
• Collaborate the with Senior Leadership Team to determine current and future capabilities required for effective execution of merchandising, marketing, image/fixed assets, and talent development.

Who you\xe2\x80\x99ll work with:

The Team: You will be member of the Leadership Team with 6 direct reports. You will report to the B2C Operations Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of customer focus and collaboration.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other Food Store Managers across the organization.

The Community: Portage la Prairie is a small city in Central Plains Manitoba. About 45 minutes west of Winnipeg, you\xe2\x80\x99ll find Portage la Prairie and world\xe2\x80\x99s largest Coca Cola can! Home to about 13,000 residents, Portage la Prairie has the big city amenities with the small town feel Families from all over love to visit the city\xe2\x80\x99s famous Splash Island Water Park and splash the day away under the prairie sun.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

• Have 5 to 10 years of retail management experience.
• Have a High School Diploma. Preference for a post-secondary education in business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
• Are highly motivated and organized.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and motivate employees.
• Are honest and trustworthy.
