Homestead Co-op is hiring a Food Store Manager on a permanent basis, onsite out of the Food Store in Carman, MB.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Provide strategic direction to Food Store Team Leaders and Members to ensure safe, effective operations and processes which align with the strategy, objectives, and vision of the respective departments.
• Collaborate the with Senior Leadership Team to determine current and future capabilities required for effective execution of merchandising, marketing, image/fixed assets, and talent development.

Who you\xe2\x80\x99ll work with:

The Team: You will be member of the Leadership Team with 7 direct reports. You will report to the B2C Operations Manager. This highly engaged and motivated team strives to cultivate a culture of customer focus, collaboration, and support.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other Food Store Managers across the organization.

The Community: Carman is a small town in the Pembina Valley region of Southern Manitoba. It\xe2\x80\x99s home to about 3,000 residents and is about an hour southwest of Winnipeg. This tightknit and vibrant community is known for it\xe2\x80\x99s farming as it lies in the heart of the rich prairie agricultural belt. The Homestead Food Store is the only grocery store in town, making it truly a vital part of the community and it\xe2\x80\x99s surrounding areas!

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

• Have 5 to 10 years of retail management experience.
• Have experience in a unionized environment. Considered an asset.
• Have a High School Diploma. Preference for a post-secondary education in business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
• Are highly motivated and organized.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and motivate employees.
• Are honest and trustworthy.
