Currently holds valid Food Handler Certification and maintains valid certification throughout employment

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen facilities. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident/family/co-workers inquiries and ensuring satisfaction. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of those we serve Collaborate with team members to improve quality of service to residents. Handle food items with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures. Assist with catering events as needed, including setup, serving, and cleanup.

Experience

Previous experience in Long Term Care, fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred. Customer service skills are essential for interacting with guests effectively. 3 years experience in food preparation or as a dietary aide is preferred. Familiarity with banquet service or catering operations is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety practices is required. A background in hospitality will enhance your ability to provide excellent service.
