We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused
Food Service Worker
to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, serve meals, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensure excellent customer service. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth dining experience for guests and efficient back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
Assist with basic food preparation such as portioning, assembling meals, and preparing side items
Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed in compliance with health and safety regulations
Restock supplies, condiments, utensils, and food items as needed
Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure dishes, cookware, and utensils are sanitized and organized
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management
Handle cash or POS transactions if required
Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is an asset but not required
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices (Food Handler Certification is a plus)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
