At Donair Hub we greet and serve guests, prepare food, and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Team members also provide a level of customer service that exceeds our customer's expectations. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets each guest with a smile and a warm welcome

Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill.
Collects payment from guests and returns change.
Maintains freshness of food
Prepares food neatly, according to training, and in a timely manner.
Checks products in the salad bar and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
Ensures meat is being cut on Donair machine in a timely manner and follows instructions of how to cut meat
Ability to do food prep as well as take care of customers and store needs
Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image. Understands and adheres to the Wash, Rinse, and Sanitize method of cleaning.
Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards
Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
Package take-out food
Portion and wrap foods
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Stock refrigerators and salad bars
Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
Handle and store cleaning products
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Sharpen kitchen knives
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous food/customer service experience an asset
customer service skills
Friendly, outgoing personality
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Education: Some high school or equivalent as asset.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
Ability to work alone in-store without supervision after sufficient training, and being a key holder.
Location is not near any buses or Skytrain - will need a vehicle and Driver's License and vehicle to work
