Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Team Member to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with a focus on delivering a positive dining experience for all guests.

Duties

Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards Assist in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods Support team members in various restaurant operations as needed

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or cashiering roles within a restaurant or food industry setting Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Kitchen experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$21.45 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Food Safety Certification (preferred)
