Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and restaurant management, with proven leadership skills to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a passion for customer service, food safety, and team management, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion, and serve food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for dessert preparation. Establish work schedules and procedures; help with developing menus and promotional materials. Prepare food order summaries (compiling and organizing information) for chef according to customers' specific dietary needs and preferences. Maintain records of stock, sales, and wastage; assist in developing operation policies, procedures, and budgets. Ensure quality control standards are met for food and service. Address customers' complaints or concerns. May assist and/or conduct interviews for selecting new staff.

Requirements

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management is essential. Strong knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices; strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Previous supervisory experience with a focus on team management is preferred. Barista experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus but not mandatory. Completion of secondary school.
