Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our food service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a team, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality standards are met. Manage daily operations of the food service area, including staff scheduling and training. Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions at the POS system. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Foster a positive team atmosphere through effective communication and leadership. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Provide guidance on serving techniques and hospitality best practices to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Prior supervisory experience is essential, demonstrating effective team management skills. Knowledge of food handling practices, safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members. Experience in interviewing, training, and evaluating employees in a fast-paced environment. Background in hospitality or hotel services is advantageous, along with barista experience if applicable. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
