We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous restaurant management or hospitality experience, including kitchen and food handling expertise, is essential to excel in this position.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality customer experiences
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to meet safety and quality standards
Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling
Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviews and assist with staffing decisions
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control waste
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and promote positive guest interactions
Support restaurant management in implementing policies, promotions, and service standards
Experience
Proven supervising experience in food service or hospitality roles
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Experience with POS systems
Familiarity with restaurant operations including cash handling, inventory management, and hospitality services
Previous roles involving team management, interviewing potential staff, and leadership within the food industry
Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
Knowledge of the food industry trends, customer service excellence, and restaurant experience is highly valued
