This position ensures the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of meals to the residents within legislative requirements. The food service supervisor will ensure the residents enjoy a pleasurable dining experience within the scope of the dietary practice.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning and organizing of the activities of the dietary department
- Ensures with the provision of high-quality food service
- Assists with establishing the work flow pattern
- Orders and receives food and kitchen supplies
- Supervises the activities of the dietary department
- Coordinates dietary activities with other departments
- Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of performance staff
- Ensures cost control procedures are in place
- Ensures compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any Collective agreements.
Experience
- Diploma in Food Service Supervision from a recognized program
- Current membership in the Ontario Society of Nutritional Management
- Current membership n the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management
- 1 year of progressive related experience in an institutional setting preferred
