We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and restaurant management, with exceptional leadership skills to oversee daily operations. This role involves ensuring high standards of food preparation, customer service, and team management in a fast-paced environment. The Food Service Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining food safety standards while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes meet our established recipes and presentation standards.
Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process for new team members.
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Qualifications
Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
Experience with POS systems, specifically Micros POS is preferred.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
Previous experience in hotel or barista settings is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
