The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our food service department. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Train and mentor staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and customer service best practices.
Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
Oversee cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menu items that meet customer preferences.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving within the food industry.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Restaurant management experience is preferred, along with kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
Experience in interviewing candidates for various positions within the food service sector.
