Aramark Canada is recruiting for a Kitchen Supervisor to support Food production operations for a long-standing acute care hospital client in the Northwest Territory. Inuvik Hospital is a 17-bed acute hospital, 25-bed long term care facility, and we also manage their transient center. Job Responsibilities
The position supervises food production personnel, assists with food production tasks as needed and assures that quality and service standards are consistently attained
Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a food service team and oversees the completion of tasks. Supervise procedures for patient/resident/client meal service, including tray systems, tray distribution/delivery times
Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, etc.
Check and coach all food preparation is according to well defined recipes and follow up and discuss ways of constantly improving the cuisine
Improve service by communicating and assisting dietary aids to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback & coaching when needed
Oversees schedules and performs administrative duties as assigned. Do weekly/monthly inventories
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co- workers, etc.
Participates in the menu planning process. Assists with the coordination and implementation of the menu changes.

Qualifications
Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
3 years Hospitality or Equivalent university degree
Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
Proficiency with Computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working conditions include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
Education
Trade School Minimum 1-2 years experience
