We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage food service staff to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and adherence to safety standards.
Train and mentor team members in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with management to develop menus that meet customer preferences while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service or restaurant industry is essential.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations is required.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial transactions is necessary.
