Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on leadership and team management. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure exceptional customer service, adherence to food safety standards, and efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy. Conduct interviews and train new employees on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service best practices. Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Experience

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a solid understanding of kitchen operations. Previous supervisory experience is essential, demonstrating effective team management skills. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Experience in hospitality roles such as barista or hotel services is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial transactions within the restaurant setting.
