Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of on-farm food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service.
Supervise kitchen activities, including food presentation, portion control, and cleanliness to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Supervise and train food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize profitability.
Coordinate food service operations, including serving guests efficiently and managing customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism.
Handle scheduling, payroll input, and performance evaluations for food service team members.
Collaborate with farm management to align food service offerings with seasonal events and promotions.
Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure optimal performance.
Manage POS systems such as Square POS for order processing, and sales tracking.
Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by demonstrating hospitality skills and fostering teamwork among staff members.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or food service supervision with strong leadership capabilities. 3 years minimum
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience with POS systems such as Square POS; cash handling skills are essential.
Background in hospitality or hotel industry is preferred; barista or restaurant experience is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively through supervising experience and team management skills.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and restaurant operations.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Experience conducting interviews and training new staff members is desirable.
