We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and customer service. Responsibilities
Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and presentation.
Manage team performance through effective training, mentoring, and scheduling.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
Conduct interviews and hire staff to build a competent team.
Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Implement food safety protocols and ensure all staff adhere to proper food handling practices.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall hospitality experience.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong background in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Ability to manage cash handling processes accurately.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is preferred.
Barista experience is an advantage but not required.
