In addition to portioning food items, duties include serving patients and customers, and sanitizing equipment, tables, and serving areas. The Town of High Prairie (population approx. 2,380) is the \xe2\x80\x9cGateway to the Mighty Peace,\xe2\x80\x9d located in northern Alberta\'s Big Lakes County about 370 kilometres northwest of Edmonton. High Prairie has a thriving tourism industry, particularly in the warmer summer months. There are many attractions at the nearby lakes, including events such as the Golden Walleye Classic. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. The High Prairie facility also offers an additional $2.75 premium per hour for evening shifts, and an additional $3.23 premium per hour for weekend shifts.

Description:

As a Food Service I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with basic food preparation in accordance with AHS standards and procedures. Your typical duties may include packaging and portioning food items, preparing food according to set guidelines and menus, serving meals to patients and customers and cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, tables and serving areas.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. Additional Required Qualifications:

To work as part of a team, to be organized, perform duties independently and have the ability to work and learn quickly. Demonstrate interpersonal skills and customer service skills. Ability to read, write, speak and receive instruction in English. Preferred Qualifications:
